This week I have been trialling some Frizz Ease products – I’ve been trying to leave my hair to its natural curls more often for two reasons. One, to leave it to heal after many years of constant GHD action and two, drying and straightening your hair with a four month old baby becomes somewhat of a luxury. However although my hair is naturally wavy it does have a tendency to attract Le Frizz. So after washing and conditioning, I applied this bad boy -
The new Frizz Ease product to create smooth waves is their ‘Dream Curls Enhancing Oil’.* It’s unique in that the product itself is split into two parts, one part lightweight oil and curl boosting elixir.
To activate the product you need to shake the split product to mix it together and then use approximately 10 drops to smooth through damp hair. It’s quite hard to measure drops as it pours rather than drops out, so I had to guess approximately on this one! I then left my hair to dry naturally as I do when I leave it wavy, just scrunching it lightly to encourage curls. So, did it work? Well, my hair was definitely softer and more shiny, so it ticks those two boxes. It didn’t completely eliminate the frizz from my hair, but it really did improve the feel and texture. I also noticed it was a lot less knotty after a couple of days!
I have also been using the Frizz Ease Firm Hold Hairspray*, which works by blocking humidity to prevent frizz.
I often wear my hair half up out of my face to avoid it being yanked by Mini Sparkly and the hairspray held it firm all day. It can be used on straight or curly styles so it you don’t need to be embracing your waves to be able to use this product.
